Racial Equity Book Club

Tour of the Lyme Library Artworks with Jeff Cooley

Lyme and Old Lyme Connecticut  have an impressive history of influence on American art making and the Lyme Library has an impressive collection of artworks by local artists that reflect that tradition. Jeffrey Cooley of the Cooley Gallery will be present at the Lyme Library to give a guided tour of the artworks currently hanging in the Lyme Library. A must attend for art-lovers.

All About Owls

In this program presented by Joe Attwater, Conservation and Education Coordinator with the Connecticut Audubon Society’s Roger Tory Peterson Estuary Center, participants will learn about the owl species of Connecticut and how to identify them by sight and sound. Optional pellet dissection will be available for those who would like to discover what this magnificent hunter has devoured.

Cookbook Club

Every month the Lyme Public Library will be hosting a cookbook club where the participants will be using recipes from a particular cookbook (chosen by the participants at the previous month’s meeting) and making items to share with the group. Friends of the Lyme Public Library Annual Meeting and Concert-with Plywood Cowboy

The Friends of the Lyme Public Library will be having their Annual Meeting at 6:30 PM which will end at 7:00PM when they sponsor an outdoor concert for the community on the Town Green featuring  Plywood Cowboy. Bring your own chairs and refreshments and please practice social distancing and remain with your family/friend group.Rain date: June 17th @ 6:30PM

“As the Page Turns”-Lyme Library/Lyme Senior Center Book Club

A collaboration with the Lyme Library and Lyme/Old Lyme Senior Center. The selected book for the month can be picked up at the Lyme Public Library circulation desk.
