Books to Download

E-books and downloadable audio books are available to Lyme residents with a valid libary card via Overdrive from the Library Connection Consortium, and downloadable audio books are available through the Connecticut State Library via iCONN. Information on how to use both services appears below.

Overdrive via Library Connection.

Click the link below to access Library Connection’s Overdrive Collection of e-books and downloadable audio books. You will need to enter your Lyme Library barcode and your pin number.  The first time you download a title to your computer, you will need to download the Overdrive Media Console.  If you download to a portable device, you will need the Overdrive App for iPhone, iPad, or Android.

Downloadable eBooks and audio books through the CT State Library:

The service includes over 1300 digital audio book and eBook titles from Recorded Books One Click Digital, and is targeted to schools and public libraries, but is available to all. Anyone with Internet access is welcome to point to and search the service at 

https://lymect.rbdigital.com , but to place holds or check out titles requires a valid Connecticut public library card number.

Titles can be downloaded to your computer using the Once Click Digital Media Manager, and there are also RDDigital Apps available for iPhone and Android. More details about how the service works are available from the Help link at the web site above.
