Welcome to the Lyme Public Library

The Lyme Public Library Foundation is an independent non-profit organization that annually provides significant support to the Lyme Public Library.  During the 2017-2018 fiscal year, the Foundation contributed $42,000 toward the overall cost of the library.  This year the Foundation is excited to announce that another great benefit event has been planned.  In conjunction with the Ivoryton Playhouse, we are presenting a performance of “A Chorus Line” on August 30th at 7:30 p.m.  A dessert and prosecco reception with a chance to meet some of the cast members follows in what promises to be a fun night.  Tickets will be $100 per person.  Seats for the performance are in the orchestra section, but as there is a limited number of seats, please act now.

  • Ordering tickets.  To get a confirmed seat you can send in the attached reply card with payment or send an e-mail to events@lymepl.org indicating the number of seats desired.  If you send an e-mail, payment must then be received within 7 business days.  Since there are a limited number of seats available, all payments or e-mail reservations will be counted on a first-come, first-served basis.  Once the performance is sold out, any monies received will be returned as soon as possible.
  • Already a subscriber?  If you are already a season subscriber to the Ivoryton and wish to join the reception, you can do so by contacting the theater to arrange for a seat that night.  There will then be an “up charge” or donation, which will gain you admission to the reception.
  • Confirming your reservation.  Once your payment is received, acknowledgments will be sent confirming the reservation.  Please bring a copy of the acknowledgment with you and plan on arriving at least 20 minutes before the performance to get the actual ticket.
  • Theatergoers requiring assistance. The theater is wheelchair and walker accessible.  For those in wheelchairs who can move to a seat for the performance, please let us know on the attached form so that we can assign you a seat on the aisle.  A few spaces are available for those who are wheelchair bound.  For those who are seated, all wheelchairs and walkers must be located in the rear of the theater during the performance.  For those guests who are hearing impaired, audio assistance devices are available at no charge at the box office.
  • Directions to theater. The theater is located at 103 Main Street in Ivoryton, Connecticut.  From Route 9 exit 3, take Rt 154 west toward Centerbrook.  Continue straight through stoplight in Centerbrook onto Rt 602/Main Street.  The theater is about 1.3 miles from the stoplight on the right.  Parking is available in the large, manned lot directly across the street from the theater.  The lot is independently owned and the fee is $5.00 per car.  Free on-the street parking is available but is limited and fills up early.
